Kvaser AB is growing. With our strong engineering-led culture, international client network and dynamic product development schedule, we welcome applications from dedicated electrical and electronics engineers in all stages of their career.

Our existing hardware and software teams comprises equal numbers of mentors with many years of experience in Controller Area Networks (CAN) and beyond to share, and young, recently qualified graduates. Whilst most engineering team work is conducted in Swedish, English is widely spoken within the company and we hold a preference for fluent English speakers.

Kvaser’s open-plan office in the heart of Mölndal’s business district fosters communication, collaboration and learning from each other. We subscribe to the scrum framework for managing software and hardware projects, an iterative process that is characterised by self-organizing teams and regular communication between team members.

Open Positions: Software Engineer

Overview

As a software developer at Kvaser you will work mainly with development in C, C ++, Python and Delphi and then with the development of drivers for Windows and Linux, the firmware of the products and the Kvaser SDK which our customers use.

The software team is now eleven developers, providing great freedom to expand your expertise and dive deeply into developmental tasks. The team uses Scrum and works in two-week sprints.

General Qualifications

  • Has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Engineering Physics with many computer courses included.
  • Is a recent graduate or has worked a few years.
  • Strong technical interest.
  • Good command of English and Swedish in speech and writing where required by the internal communication.
  • It is an advantage if you also been in contact with C++, Python and / or Delphi earlier.

As a person, it is important that you like to work in teams, to find the solution to the problem, or to find new problems that require solutions.

As you will be working with problem solving, creativity is a quality we value highly in combination with strong analytical skills. Furthermore, we would like to see that you are a “self-starter” person who takes great responsibility in your daily work.
